When I know that I have a perfect credit rating. When I ask for the reason, I am told that I will be sent a report in 7 to 10 days. Well I got the report today. and it says that I am deceased. The same as the last time I was turned down. I had forgotten about that time. What am I suppose to do to prove that I am NOT DEAD quite yet.

I run credit reports all day at work. I have seen this happen on several occassions. You need to contact the Social Security office. Make sure they put any responses to you in writng. Then forward/fax the info to all 3 credit reporting agencies.

I agree with the others...I would cover ALL bases and contact the 3 bureaus by phone. Ask them what proof they need to show that you are indeed alive. You may ask them how they came to showing that you are deceased...it may be as simple as a couple digits being off on the social security number. It's easy to make mistakes because they are dealing with millions of pieces of data...names, numbers, account information...
Then go to your social security office. Make sure that they don't show you as deceased as well (they make mistakes too).
You're going to have to make a few phone calls, do some legwork and then follow up with some letters with supporting documentation. A hassle, but easier to deal with now rather than later.

You'll have to contact Equifax, Experian, and whatever the other outfit is to find out what proof they need.
It willmost likely be in the form of current pay stub, social security earnings report, and other personal identifying material.
Please be sure you are using the correct social security number, and that your date of birth is in the right format.
Good luck, it's a major hassle.

Try calling all three credit bureaus to clear this up, maybe they can help. Try having a copy of your birth certificate ready in case you need to send one to them. Also go to your local courts office and tell them that this is all a big misunderstanding and maybe they can help clear it as well.
Equifax: 1-866-798-6598
Experian: 1-800-734-4617
TransUnion: 1-800-888-4213
Good luck on getting this cleared!

I would start by finding out who reported you as being deceased. Contact your local social security office.
