How often and hard do your parents hit you?

just to clear things up, im not complaining, im just wondering

My parents never hit me. They spanked me once when I was 5, for getting in a truck with the neighbor without asking, but it wasn't that hard and it was deserved.

I don't know what is going on to grant you asking this question, but I am a parent. I have two children, 8 and 11. I only pop them on their bottom with my open hand when I have given them 3 chances to correct their behavior and that is pretty much to get their attention. Most of the time it works. When it doesn't, they lose privileges. If you fell that you are being abused you should talk to your councilor at school about what appropriate punishment and about how acceptable the way your parents hit you is.

Your question illicited a lot of answers from people that are being abused. Your parents should never hit you and neither should the parents of the other kids. If I were you guys, and my dad would beat us with a belt, I would tell them how they make you feel about yourself and them. Do you ever remember why you were beaten or only the fact that you were beaten. I told my Dad after I grew up that it was wrong and unneccessary and he cried and said that he even knew it at the time he did it. Would your parents want someone else hitting you? Would they like it if someone came up to them and smacked them around? It is wrong, wrong, wrong and one of the reasons why we have so much violent crime.

well i am not sure why you asked such a question if you are having problems with your parents hitting you then you should talk to your teachers or guidence office at school. but to answer you question a parent should spank a child when he or she has screwed up and needs to learn from the screw up but if they hit you all the time and for no reason well you need to get help but if your just mad right now because your in trouble with you parents and they have punished you and you are not happy well you should go and talked to them about the problem and you should wonder why they are hitting you you should know and if you dont then you need to talk to them about it and if you dont feel like what is going on with your parents and yourself you need to find help and talk to someone.. hope your okay and everything is alright

I have a friend whos dad beats him probably once a week... and in turn, my friend slaps or pushes his younger brothers when they do something to him. His dad backhanded him in the face when I was at his house because his shoe was in the hall; he did it so hard that my friend got a bloody nose!!! As for me getting hit, only when I was younger, like 4- 7... used to get hit with a belt on my butt when I misbehaved, hurt so bad!

When I was growing up my dad would whip me till I was burised all over. in other words I was black and blue. he would hit with whatever he had inhis hand at the time. this would happen about every day. But my dad died 6yrs ago and I forgave him before he died. But I still have a lot of bad memories.

I don't know how old you are , but, your parents should not be hitting you to begin with, but i feel like every child needs discipline so if it is just a spankin, then let it go buddy. but if you bruise or are in a lot of pain, then tell someone. a teacher probably.

I must confess my parents never hit me Hard. Hitting a punishment truly hurt them more than it hurt me.
If your parents are getting out of hand,try telling another adult...maybe they can speak to your parents about their behavior. No one deserves to be abused in the name of punishment.

Honey your parents are not allowed to hit you. No ones parents are allowed to hit their children. You need to call children services in your town. my mom used to hit me when i was young.she used anything that she finds like a broom,slippers a stick and it hurts so bad.i usually have bruises nad red marks after the hitting.
