A serious boyfriend would like help me if i had problems, ofcourse you would celebrated holidays by giving gifts, just randomly calling you just to say i luv you, maybe taking you somewhere like romantic or at do the best he could cuz he loves you, treating you like a princess and you treat him like a prince, nothing like matching shirts that crap is retarded and i have seen it and after like 2 days of having it they break up. Many people may have defining the serious relationship like simply stuff, but a serious relation ship is not one where you dont get to show different emotions like happy or sad, being a part of a relationship should always be serious cuz once you say yes then you should like automatically think about that person like that could be your furture right there.

In high school or college, there is no such thing as a serious relationship, because you're not dealing with things in a "real world" context. As an adult, I believe that a serious relationship is usually when things that you would ask about in the beginning (going out on Friday or Saturday night, spending the night, little rituals like that) go on without mentioning it beforehand...they're just things you do.

Someone you can trust and talk to. Like a friend but better. They'll hang out with you all the time, but not too much. They'll make you feel loved and important..

Someone who you are committed to fully and vice-versa on their part. Someone who cares, understands and you're happy with in a healthy relationship.

when the two people in the relationship, agree that it is serious, and have taken steps in acting that way... like not having sex with other people, and not flirting with other people.
