When children reach puberty, (age 9 or 10) they are supposed to start praying.
Islam doesn't enjoin anything beyond human capability.
“Allah would not place a burden on you, but He would purify you and would perfect His grace upon you, that ye may give thanks.” (Al-Ma’idah: 6)
Islam provided flexibility of rules if extreme situations faced. It is permissible to sit on a chair or on the ground, depending on what one is able to do and what is easy for him/her. But it is better to sit on the ground, because the Sunnah is for a person to sit cross-legged in the place where one would stand and bow, and this is not easy to do on a chair.
If it is too difficult for a pregnant wife to prostrate and bow, then she can lean forward and make the leaning for sujud deeper than that for ruku`.
If it is clear that praying Salat may worsen the physical condition then it is permissible not to pray. But the missed prayers have to be made up after getting well.

A muslim can pray sitting, standing, lying down.
Almighty knew that there must be people like that. IF u cannot pray sitting, u can pray lying down. There's a way. Pls know this:- Islam does not creat hardships. It makes things easier for people but if people only knew and understood.
Prayer becomes obligatory by age 9.

People with physical difficulties don't have to pray the regular way. If they can't stand then they can pray while sitting down. If they can't sit then they can pray while lying down. And if even if then they have trouble moving their hands for example then they can just move around their eyes as if they were doing regular prayer. Prayer is not suppose to be painful. Salah as is known is Arabic is not just about praying to God, but it is also about praising God and asking for right guidance.
At 7 years of age (not 7 months as someone mentioned) prayer becomes compulsory. Pregnant women should pray the normal way unless that can have complications, in that case they can just pray while sitting down.

Muslims become accountable (mukalaf) at the age when they reach their puberty. Regardless of what age they reach that stage, it is recommended to start them off at age 7, as in getting used to the prayer.
There is a verese in the Qur'an that says:
On no soul doth Allah Place a burden greater than it can bear. [2: 286]
Another translation of the original Arabic: Allah does not impose upon any soul a duty but to the extent of its ability.
From that verse, scholars deduce that people who physically cannot pray, may do so standing up, sitting down, or whatever they're physically capable of doing without inflicting harm upon themselves.
There are exceptions to every rule and this verse does not only extend towards difficulty in prayer, but in other things as well such as fasting (ie you have to take medication during the prescribed fasting period or you will become very ill), and so on.
Btw, don't worry too much about the spelling - the popular way of spelling it is a transliteration, and yours is not too far off the mark :)

Praying requires mostly honesty and sincerness so if you are standing up or laying down ti would still touch whom it was intended for. I'm not a Muslim I'm a Christian and we pray down on our knees, so if you can't get on them laying or sitting OR just standing would be perfectly OK just as long as you do it in spirit and truth!

tough luck for them who cannot bend their backs for Allah five times a day. A child should start praying at the age of 7 months, and pregnant women should bend down baby and all, at least five times a day, more if they're having twins, forget the hardships. Allah deserves this and kind of feels left out if you don't pray to him at least five times a day. he's working on this issue, however.

it's Muslims not Muslums.
people who can't can sit on a chair. people who can't move can pray in bed. if they can't move their entire body they can move their finger if they cant move their fingers they can just close their eyes, if they can't close their eyes they dont have to move any thing at all.
