They dont wanna give up that blanket that covers them in the nite. Nobody want to admit there wrong on such a massive level.

It is natural to humans to believe, have faith, and pray. We all feel the need at many times to ask for help of the world or the universe, not just other humans (who can be very unreliable or even hurtful). Yet a religion told to us by other people, which sounds like it is centered around a universe that cares directly about _us_ is very tempting. It is not rational. But people are not rational, not entirely. We still retain our earliest, most childish emotions within us.

Well, despite the back tracking, side stepping, seguing and general spinelessness, Science sometimes has some benefits so I can see why some people believe in that religion.

The only reason is those man made religions have more freedom for them to enjoy on earth.

Because people just simply need something to believe in, something to have faith in...well, some people. I really have no idea why, maybe someday we will all find out.

That's why they are called believers....they believe. Why? Who knows! But most do it out of fear of death and what's coming next and because they were told to. Guilt and fear are powerful mindtrips.
