Global Warming isn't the right word!
It's A Global Environmental Shift.
Some regions get warmer, some get colder, but overall the WORLD IS HOTTER THAN IT WAS 50 YEARS AGO. THE OCEAN TEMPERATURE IS UP 1 DEGREE (Huge significance!)!
Minnesota has had record highs for the last couple years, as well as record colds. It is still rather warm there, relatively.
As the polar caps break apart, expect more unexpectable weather.

Global warming is a misnomer. Let's say "climate change" instead, because it's more descriptive of what we are experiencing.
Human kind has not been gathering sophisticated data long enough to extrapolate future trends. Much of the data about changes in the make up of the atmosphere seems OK, but we don't know how to apply it. As recently as the 1820-30's there were years without a summer in the US and Canada. Why was that? No one can claim to know the truth yet.
The climate is always changing and we are working hard to understand the processes. Trendy theories like "global warming" misdirect the focus of investigation and close the minds of researchers to other conclusions.

I got news for you! You personally would probably not even feel Global warming at its worst, what is a couple of degrees increase, right? Wrong,it could change the ocean currents and precipitate a horrendous ice age. Then you would feel the real cold of Global warming. If you think it is cold now, probably you would have to worry about icebergs in the equator then.

I wish I also lived in Brisbane, Australia.
But, alas, I am in Minnesota in the U.S., a traditionally snow-covered landscape. It's December 2. We have not an ounce of snow on the ground. In fact, the high here was nearly 50 degrees until about three days ago. I could have gone golfing on Thanksgiving.
What does that say about global warming. Look up how many polar bears are drowning. It's too many to not be disconcerting.

It's warming the Ocean. Remember that England is on the same parallel as Alaska. Without the Gulf stream working, and it is slowing down, England and most of Europe would freeze over.

My belief is there is about 100 years of "planet" left. The population is growing exponentionally along with our use of natural resources. The warming is just a "fever" the environment is experiencing and will soon start to fight the virus that infects it. Turn up the heater and you should be just fine.

I never really supported the global warming claims even though they have been prover, but its cold because this winter, for some reason, it got cold in a day... there was no steady downfall.
I live in the CA mojave desert...

because the seasons are moving either back or forth, our winter would be over by now if it weren't for it and it's already warm in the south!!
that is so rude
I'm in New Zealand by the way
it's gotten to the point where we don't have to walk around INSIDE without jumpers but we still need them outside!! Can't wait till I can walk around in my bare essentials again :P
