The feature that your trying to use is on a CD rom that is not available. Insert the CD rom. Then it begins to work normally. What should I do? If anything?

It means when you installed office, you selected that that particular progam would be installed on your computer but that the information needed to use certain things would be kept on the cd (used when disk space is the limiting factor and you can't afford the space to fully install things). You don't have to do anything. However, if you want it to stop, just reinstall windows but make sure that everything is set to run off your harddrive (instead of doing typical install, do custom and choose to run everything off your hard drive).

It is looking for the Office or Word CD-ROM. The program was probably installed to run of off a CD-ROM to save space, so it needs the disc to run. Put the disc in the drive before starting Word. If you can/want, reinstall Word so it doesn't need to CD to run.

you may need to rerun the install cd and tell it to install instead of running off cd?
