god is a term used by many cultures but is used to represent many different beings. So by saying "I beleive in God" means that you beleive in Odin, Allah, Yahweh, Jah, Ngai, Vishnu or Shiva, Buddha and countless others.

Does your god have a name or do you beleive it is the same god that other religions praise?

Yes, most of my deities have names. Taranis, Lugh, Epona, Sequana, Cernunnos, Don, and Sulis. I believe there are other deities, but I don't worship them. When I see a question with the word "God" rather than a specific named deity, I just figure that the question is for anyone who believes in some kind of deity rather than a specific one. If someone is speaking about a specific deity, they would name them, wouldn't they?

JEHOVAH
Definition: The personal name of the only true God. His own self-designation. Jehovah is the Creator and, rightfully, the Sovereign Ruler of the universe. "Jehovah" is translated from the Hebrew Tetragrammaton, which means "He causes to Become" These four Hebrew letters are represented in many languages by the letters JHVH or YHWH.

These are the places where God's name can be found in the Bible translations that are commonly used today.

The New English Bible: The name Jehovah appears at Exodus 3:15; 6:3. See also Genesis 22:14; Exodus 17:15; Judges 6:24, Ezekiel 48:35.

The King James Version: The name Jehovah is found at Exodus 6:3; Psalm 83:18; Isaiah12:2; 26:4 See also Genesis 22:14
Exodus 17:15; Judges 6:24.

If someone in the West claims to worship God, it is generally understood to mean the God of the Bible. The Great God Jehovah.

Oh my God, where do you have an idea of "so many Gods". There is only one God in the Universe. The Almighty , Allah.
Please do not confuse yourself. Buddha is not a God , he is a human like you and me, we called it man made God.(Man declared him to be)

The term "god" is a title and is applied to many things, even to mankind.

The term "God" is also a title, but it applies to the God of the Bible.

Your use of the term "GOD" is uncommon, and therefore meaningless, unless your caps are stuck "ON."

The God that I worship is Jesus Christ of the New Testament (Jehovah YHWH in the Old.) . He is unlike and differentiated from the god(s) of all other religions. He is not Buddha, Krishna (nor his 6,000,000+ hordes of gods), and He is not Allah of Islam.

this is why in the bible it speaks and teaches us that we will be decieved. what do you think this mean? his real name? the sabbath? to some i guess it doesnt matter because were being taught that his name is god and this meaning = more than one when his name is Yahweh. when our mother gave us a name at birth she didnt give us 10+ names to be called. if you take the original bible the first ones made you will see and read his name....YAHWEH.

There are many gods, as in objects and ideas that people worship. These can range from items of pure fantasy, to money to ones self and anything else that one puts on a pedastal. As for GOD, there is only one. God is the god of Adam, Abraham, Noah, and all those biblical guys. He created the universe and everything in it including me who in turn worships him.

"god" is a term used by many cultures.
"God" on the other hand is one specific being/spirit. He is the one true God of the Bible. No other god claims to be God.
