I hope that this is a 24 hour bug. Otherwise she is a very healthy girl. Since yesterday she doesn't have apetite & not eating well & has diarrhea.
As a know-it-all teenager I cannot convince her to go see a doctor & I'm very worried.

Every 15 minutes I insist that we go to the Medical Centre & everytime she denies saying that she is too weak to get up.

Wait the night. If she's still sick tomorrow, MAKE HER see a doctor. If it's the flu tho, make her only eat light and drink LOTS of fluids. Throughly EXPLAIN to her that her body is sick and with her diarrhea, may dehydrate if she doesn't keep fluids in her body. Dehydration may lead in not attending school, not attending school would mean she's not allowed to have friends over until she listens to you!! Obstinance... that's what 13 year olds do. I was one once..

Who's the parent in your family? Sounds like flu, stomach virus, or has she been on any antibiotics that might have irritated her stomach and intestinal tract? If not resolved in 48 hours she has to go to doctor because she can get really dehydrated depending on how many stools she has....Make sure she drinks lots of fluid....signs of dehydration are decreased urination, dry skin, dry mouth and tongue, malaise,( slowed mentation and activity), irritability, sunken eyes, and eventual weight loss. Try getting her to take small sips of water often. Not full glasses at once which could increase the diarrhea. Monitor her fever twice a day, especially in the late evening because this is when normal body temperatures rise....If she goes over 101 take her to the doctor or the ER depending on day and hour...If she does want to eat serve bland food, such as plain rice, plain potatoes, grilled or boiled chicken without skin. Spicy, fatty, fruits and vegetables will increase stomach discomfort..... If she is too weak to get up then she is really sick, call an ambulance and take her to the ER. Hope she feels better......

What has she had to eat in the last 12-24 hours? How long has she had these symptoms? Where she in her monthly cycle? Just make sure she gets lots of rest and that her fever does not increase. Also try to make sure she does not get dehydrated. That is one implication of ongoing diarrhea. It could be anything from mild food poisoning to a simple case of the flu. Is she on any medications?

You need to take her to a doc and not ask on Yahoo. Even if a doctor reads this, he cannot ask ehr additional questions about her condition or observe it himself and definitely not give a prescription online.

Don't give her a choice about seeing a doctor. If she wont come to the doc tell her u'll clal the doc home even if it costs. If she won't cooperate - she's grounded for 2 weeks and no television for 2 weeks either.

You are in charge, Mom! This is your 13 year old daughter we're talking about! Come'on - get this kid to the doctor immediately.

You must not be very worried or you'd have her there already instead of writing a question on it to Yahoo. Geez!

She could have the flu and needs to see a doctor. You're the mother. Make her go.

YOUR THE PARENT. If she can't get up, tell her you will call an ambulance and if that doesn't work, get a neighbor to help get her in the car, take her to the drive thru emergency entrance and honk your horn for help. Good luck!

If she's only 13, and you're worried, MAKE her go to the doctor. You're still the boss!!
