i do not bear in mind the kindest element i have ever finished, yet I DID do someone quite impressive for an finished stranger the day previously immediately. I take public transportation to and from artwork (throws in a sarcastic "yay") and those 2 teenage adult men were given on the bus and requested the motive force for a move. San Diego's public transportation gadget is amazingly poorly funded, so on the starting up of 2008 they were given rid of transfers to objective to produce extra money. besides, I heard between the children initiate cursing because he needed to get on 2 different buses and a trolley and did no longer have any extra money with him. I felt undesirable for the guy, so I gave him 5 money, so he might want to purchase an afternoon bypass. He by no ability even thanked me, yet I knew he became appreciative and it helped him out, so it became properly worth it. I by no ability underestimate the influence a random/opportune act of kindness could have on someone.

when I was 15 I was in Oceanside California on a overcast windy day in October, surfing with my friend Shay. There was a pretty strong current moving north and rip tides all over the place. It was very choppy and not a very good day for surfing, but coming from Hemet (70 miles or so), we were not about to go home without getting wet. after surfing for a while we got out to walk south back to our starting point. as we approached the jetty south of the harbor we saw a couple in the water caught in a rip tide way out past the end of the jetty, about 200 yards or so from shore. we paddled out to fetch em, got them on our boards and swam them back in. These people were on vacation from Alaska and had never swam in the ocean before. They were both wearing all of their street clothes including their shoes! This was a semi-stormy day in the middle of October and nobody was on the beach. No lifeguard on duty and very few boats on the water. When we got to them these people were exhausted. I think if we weren't there, or didn't see them, there was a good chance they wouldn't have made it.

I have never done it myself. If given the chance I will do it. When I was about 6, 2 strangers came to my parents home. The strangers said they were hungry and did not have any money. Without further word my mother invited them into our home and made them something to eat.
I have helped people but I have never fed anybody.

This was many years ago, but I helped an elderly man in a wheelchair who had rolled into a section of sidewalk with no pavement, and he was trying to get back up onto the pavement. With all the young, strong people around him, no one stepped up to help him, except me and my 5 year old son.

I picked up a poor woman lost in the French Quarter of New Orleans and took her back to her hotel. She was wandering toward an area that would have been unhealthy for her to enter.

I work as a waitress and this lady and young girl of about 6 came in. They both looked "rough"..And the little girl kept asking for food her mother could not afford..I heard her tell her daughter. And they both had very bad colds. So, I bought them their dinner and made sure I gave them hot tea with lemon. It's all we had. She was very happy and I recieved a very nice "tip"......a hug and thank you......priceless.

We sponsor a child.

We hope that through the years and exchanges of letters Juan will cease to be a stranger to us.
