look for anything with ceramic plates... none of the "plated gold" or anything like that. I have a $200 straightner.. Ihave hella long and thick hair and it only takes me 15 min to starighten it all. And my hair is really frizzy and the key thing is that is ceramic. It doesn't create static unlike the gold and stuff.. think about it? 2 metal plates with heat and friction??

I dont remember the brand, but there's a straightener out nowadays.. that have a bristle on the edges like a comb, to keep the hair fairly straight when you iron it. Condition it after. Most people i see doing it, condition it to make it less frizzy. I naturally have straight hair, so that explains why i dont use the iron. I think the iron that im talking about, has a thicker outershell too, to prevent burns. But you should research about the different products on sale first. It REALLY helps. Especially to find the cheaper ones.

If you go to any store you will be able to find a straightener but i do recommend using Vaseline around your edges before applying the perm. This protects your skin from getting burned. Also put it on the tip of your ears as well.
