My first husband and I had a bad breakup and he was bitter for a long time, I was the one who wanted the divorce but he didn't.
For ten years he wouldn't even talk to me then I got sick and almost died and he started coming around and we were able to talk about what happened. I'm happy to say we are good friends now because he finally got to get a lot of stuff off his chest and not keep the hope that we might reunite one day. He is now happily remarried and I'm about to be.
We finally had closure on a relationship that lasted thirty years.
