Genocide, natural disasters, war, child abuse - all these things, he ignores. Yet, he apparently busies himself working small 'miracles' - such as successful surgery and the like - for believers.

Does that make sense to you?

GOD IS A GENTLEMEN.He must be allowed or asked to come in on a problem.
the problems in the world today are caused by man.
Even natural disasters are not natural, man messing with nature.
Gods only doing is waiting to return. He could say at anytime" it is done"
But so many people will die without Jesus.
God is working daily on very large miracles, keeping the hand of Satan from killing you and yours.
Satan is out to kill, steal, and destroy.
Christians all over the world are crying out for God to save the lost.If the Christians stopped praying, all hell would break louse.
Be thankful that God is a loving God.Not willing that ANY SHOULD PERISH.
I pray for you and your children to find Jesus before its to late.
Just because you do not believe ,does not make it not real.\o/

This is the sad part.

God's body, his hands and his feet, his mobility and action are right here in us. God desperately wishes an end to genocide, abuse, and the pollution which is greatly increasing global warming and thus, many natural disasters. However, because we (especially in America) have been lulled by consumerism and the quest for upward mobility, we have forsaken our duty to help make the world a better place.

Sadly, don't blame God, blame his followers, his workers in the world.

If He did, would you believe it or would you look for a different explanation? I could give you instances of hurricanes that dissipated unexpectedly before making landfall leaving the experts puzzled. Did God intervene or is there a natural explanation? I’m fairly sure that those who don’t believe in miracles would insist the explanation was natural regardless.

Stopping genocide would mean changing people’s hearts and if hearts don’t want to change…

Why doesn’t God cure all disease and everything else? What would be the point of our existence if he gave us everything and did everything for us. We would live our entire lives like infants who are given everything. I think he would like us to advance to the point where we can cure disease ourselves and where we have enough compassion to cure many of the other problems in this world. He doesn’t want us to sit around waiting for his intervention. He wants us to act NOW!!!

The reason those things happen is because god grants us free will. Genoide and all the horible things in the world are caused by our actions. If he stopped us from making wrong decisions then we would not have free will. He does do things about genocide. Sadam husain is longer in power, Serbalon Molosavich was takin out of power, Hitler and his nazi regeme were detroyed.

You'd have to ask God yourself. He only has the answers to this one. God can do whatever He wants, whenever He wants, whyever He wants. He doesn't have to answer to any one of us and He never has to justify Himself to any one.

Some people survive things by the grace of God and others by the help of other people. People start genocides and others stop them eventually. Some natural disasters are caused by weather conditions and some by God as punishment. People start wars and people stop them. People abuse children and by the grace of God they stop, are caught and locked up or die or are killed. Sometimes God has certain people start things and stop things. He NEVER ignores anything that we do or don't do. He gave us all free-will. Natural disasters is the only thing, I think, that people can't start. All other things are caused by humans. So we are the ones that have to take charge and stop it. Bad things have been happening since humans came into being. It's our free choice to be bad or be good. I personally think that bad people are stronger than good people because they aren't afraid of punishment, they don't fear anything so they don't stop. Good people, many times, are afraid to confront the bad people because of what they might do to them.

God doesn't ignore us. He isn't just sitting on a cloud watching us and nodding or shaking His head. When He deems it necessary to intervene, He does. He knows the future and the outcomes of all this and He knows when we need Him and when we are going to stop the badness on our own. He hears our prayers and answers them accordingly. MAYBE the problem is that we aren't praying to Him enough. We tend to ask for help when we are in trouble or ill. We need to pray for help, guidance, thanksgiving, repentance and forgiveness, love and do it every day, all day long. The Bible tells us of the Israelites that were faithful to God and He blessed them for years, then they started to try things out on their own and began sinning and turned away from God, so He stopped blessing them, eventually He punished them. They show His wrath and started to praise Him again and had faith again and God then heard their prayers and forgave them and blessed them again. This happens for hundreds of years in the Old Testament. Maybe that's what happening to us now. God blesses the faithful and punishes the unfaithful. And He gives us what we NEED, not what we WANT. He knows what's best for us. It's only with God's grace that good can defeat bad.

Friend - God is not the author of evil. He gives man (and woman) freedom of choice and most of us do a poor job with that freedom. He never promises that bad will not happen to us if we believe or if we never sin (this is not even possible), only that he will help us through the bad times. One of the best examples is the poem we frequently see called Footprints.

What is it we hear about on the news? Do we hear about the thousands of little miracles...or do we hear about only the bad things that happen?

My son puts it well...he says, mom, do not listen to how many people were killed in the war today, they never tell you about the 100,000 that were NOT killed. He will be back home from Iraq next summer.

Love and Peace

I READ THESE ANSWERS AND I CRY FOR HUMANITY. IF WE ARE IT, INCLUDING ME, THERE IS NO MORE HOPE. I MEAN ALL OF US, CHRISTIANS, ATHEISTS, JEWISH, HINDI, BUDDHISTS, GOTHS, WICCANS, ETC...ALL OF US. WE ARE A SORRY, SORRY EXCUSE FOR HUMANITY. WE CANNOT EVEN EFFECT DECENT HUMAN KINDNESS ON THE LOWEST LEVEL.

Be patient. God is the God of the resurrection. Every evil deed will receive it's just recompense. To say He ignores these things is the most ignorant slander. Millions of His believers give billions of dollars and millions of hours of their lives to alleviate the suffering of Mankind. I myself give perhaps 30% or more of my income every year and have done this for many years to help others besides many acts of charity and hours devoted to spread the Gospel, feed the poor, clothe the naked, teach the ignorant.
What are you doing ?

Individuals perform miracles. When enough individuals refuse to commit the acts you speak of,( and by the way, I believe that tornadoes are caused by angry men as wars are) Then wars and such will stop.

I believe that God allows big disasters so we would be always ready to leave this place and do not prograstinate because we are not sure what tomorrow holds.

And when there are disasters we tend to care for one another more, God loves that.

I believe that we should also to be thankful when bad things do not happen. When I see the big picture, I see that God is on the job, aand He indeed protects us.

Because God did not give us life in order for it to be perfect...life is about trials and overcoming them, making you stronger and demonstrating your love for Christ. Genocide, AIDS, etc. are all results of the free will of man, as are charity, love, and family.
God works small miracles to demonstrate to the faithful his everlasting love for us and for our dedication to him. If this world were perfect, then there would be no heaven for the faithful.
