The Ayatollah said this on his website:

2497. It is recommended that the wet-nurse, whose services are obtained for a child, should be Shia Ithna-Asheri, sane, chaste, and good looking; and it is Makrooh for a wet-nurse to be a non-Shia Ithna-Asheri or ugly, ill-humoured or illegitimate. It is also Makrooh to entrust the child to a wet-nurse who has given birth to an illegitimate child.

So who is the one judging the woman's ugliness? The husband, the wife, the Ayatollah or maybe the baby? And what if the BABY is ugly? Can an ugly baby be breast fed by a good looking woman? Can an ugly woman breast feed her own baby? This decree from the Ayatollah raises so many questions doesn't it?

It raises too many questions and answers none of them, and it almost borders on superstition

Suppose a good sense of humor would come in handy when attempting to survive under such schools of thought.

Maybe he meant you can't just roll out of bed at 3am and begin to feed the baby, but must wash and apply your makeup first, as not to frighten to little one.

The Ayatolla, is like so many of his compatriots, one ugly sonofabitch. In his secret heart of darkness he longs for beauty, which is an attribute of god. He doesn't realise that judgement and criticism of others (ie. "you are ugly") is only ever judgement and criticism of your self. Your judgement reveals what you believe about your self. Jesus was very clever when he said, "Judge not less ye be judged."
