If you (christains) found something in the Bible that went against the doctrine or beliefs taught by your church/denomination, what would you do? Change churches, disregard the bible, do nothing?
Seems to me like a lot of christain denominations are not doctrinal correct with the bible pertaining to major doctrinal issues. I'm not talking about little things that are in the gray area. Just the black and white issues. Homosexual bishops or priests for example.
What do you think?

P.S.
Going to bed after this question. Good night all.
Eph 6:24 Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.

We need to be as the bereans!
Acts 17:11 - "These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so."

Today there are many different aids to Bible study. There are all sorts of study Bibles available as well as books and courses that will help one study the Bible. In spite of all the help at our fingertips, many Christians are ignorant of the content and teachings of God's Word!

I want to introduce you to a special group of people who will always be remembered because they were serious about studying God's Word. They are known as the Bereans. According to Acts 17:11, the Bereans were "more noble" than another group of people known as the Thessalonian Jews. The difference was their attitude towards the Scriptures. The Bereans were true students of the Word of God. They loved God's Word.

That is what I did I left an organization after 20+ years, was difficult, but as for me and my house I will serve the Lord, I was never a man pleaser and will never be one, I will always be obedient to the leading of the Spirit of truth, Praise the Lord;
as for you leaders who are reading this, shame on you, you need to be accountable to the Lord in obedience to Him!

I am non denominational.

I would pray and go in the direction the Lord moved me to:

change churches if he told me to
never disregard the Bible, don't believe he would tell me to do that

I did and do place the importance on what the Bible says and left the sects "teaching the commands of men as doctrine"

Most people go along with whatever their 'sect' teaches. That is why all the pagan holidays such as Christmas, Easter, Halloween, along with pagan beliefs, such as the trinity & immortality of the soul are taught, accepted and practiced in most of the religions that claim to be Christian.

Follow the Bible, not the church. Talk to the pastor as well. If it remained, I would leave the church and shake the dust from my feet before I walked out. Soddom and Gommorah will do better than that place that doesnt welcome the word, yet claims it.

Blessings,
David

Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage-- with great patience and careful instruction. (2 Tim 4:2)

I would try to correct the error. When that proved impossible, I would leave.

PS God said this would happen....
