I'm not saying we should be rude and intentionally offensive, but the PC garbage has gone a little too far. Can't we go back to common sense and politeness.
The former USSR used political correctness to control their society and look where it eventually got them. Nowhere. How do we stop this train before it is too late

I agree that political correctness is a dangerous when thousands of people can scream junk like "Europe, you will pay! Your 9/11 is on the way!" over a set of harmless cartoons, and the PC people blame the cartoonist for the blood cries!
But the PC crowd is not totally without opposition because it is made up from several; different groups that sometimes clash.

For example PC people hate winners, in allot of elementary schools they won't play games like musical chairs anymore because it humiliates the losers, but the PC people bump into a road block when it comes to taking winners out of High School and up because higher education is funded by sports, and they adore public education.

PC people love animal rights groups and AIDS patients but some AIDS treatments require animal testing so at this point PC people clash.

They love the Muslims but hate the Christians, there may come a point when they will try to do something to hurt us Christians and end up getting a Muslim fatwa on them because they hurting the Muslims as well.
Or at very least love the Muslims so much the woman end up in burkas.

At some point they will find a clashing point that they can not recover from and self destruct.

The fact that some of the most ardent feminist have started getting married should prove the PC point of view has problems, and at some point it must break.

I'm not so sure I want to get rid of it. I mean, although people might think that PC makes it difficult for them to speak their minds without worrying about offending someone, the fact that it exists at least acknowledges that our society is stratified and that some people think they are better than others. When we have a society where all people are truly considered equal and valuable, there will be no need.

Put all of the bleating heart liberals up against the wall and shoot the idiots. That's right, I said "Bleating." As in the sound sheep make. Oh, I'm sorry. Did I offend anyone? Too bad. I'm offended that you're offended. Why are the tolerant liberals so intolerant of the conservatives? Is it possible to be so far to the left, that you end up on the right?

I agree, back when people were not all about being PC, everyone was much more friendly and helpful because they didn't have to worry about offending anyone.

Stop being PC and convince other to stop too. After all it was probably some small group that complained about things not being PC that snowballed into what we have today.

As depressing as it is, we can't go back now, we've gone too far. Now the society has gotten so used to PC and so used to getting it's way and claiming offense just to get their way, there is no way we could go back. The liberals would never let us. They are ahead.

We can't it has gone too far. In 1960 Nikita Kruchev, while visiting the United States, said, "We will bury you." It appears that he knew what he was talking about. The Exception is, we are burying ourselves. Shades of "The Emperor's New Clothes."

I think we, as common sense advocates are sh** out of luck. This country has become overrun with control freaks. Maybe things will get better in the future.

Get rid of the ACLU and the United Nations for starters...

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

I wish we could do away with it. It leads to a lot of subterfuge and plastic conversation between friends. No one is frank or earnest anymore.
