can you put a scope on this gun since it has a top eject??

Yes, you can. Weaver makes a side mount for the (left) side of the receiver, which allows you to off-set any scope you wish to mount on your rifle! Anticipate that the scope base will cost about $10. Depending on which year your rifle was made, you want either a #3D or #3B base. (See link below.)

Sure can. I opted for a scout type scope on my top eject that puts the scope in front of the existing rear sight. I used a Leupold handgun scope and had a great sight picture.
