In PA you must be 18 to serve alcohol, I've heard its the same in NY

I think 18, my son was officially a waiter but worked as a bartender last year and he will not be 21 until next year.

Edit: To the people who are saying
"that's basically like asking how old do i have to be to drink, and buy alcohol" you're an idiot. Where I live you only have to be 18 to bar tend but you have to be 21 to drink. Do your research before you start getting cute with the mouth.
