I think it's okay, just be careful is all. Don't just go out and meet anyone. Get to know them over the phone for a while too, it's easier to lie online, but not on the phone. I met my current boyfriend online and we are planning ot get married - been married two years now. Someone else I know just got engaged to someone she met online. It's a new movement in dating!

Yes, it is okay but be careful. I have met some great normal guys online. Doctors, lawyers, pilots, valedictorians, university students. Really get to know them first and when you meet make sure it is in a public place. Tell someone where you are going AND do a check on them. If they tell you they work at one place check and make sure. They will be okay with it if they have nothing to hide. I met a physician once and I called the hospital to see if he is a doctor there and I also checked on the medical board to see if his name is listed as well as talked to his female family members before I even met him.
