I have direct tv and I really want the style network...i know the style network is owned by E! which is a comcast channel but I don't understand why direct tv has the E! channel but not the Style Network. Does anyone know where I can get dvds of some of the shows on the Style Network or if Direct is EVER planning on adding this channel

This must be part of the long-standing dispute between Comcast and DirecTV regarding carriage of programming.
Comcast is in the position of being both a carrier and producer of programming, which means they could use programming availability to blackmail carriers into either paying exhorbitant carriage fees or simply making programming exclusive to Comcast systems. Which is OK until there's something everyone wants, like your favorite pro sports teams.
Guess Style Network is one of those things Comcast will never let DirecTV carry. Hmm, maybe because NFL Sunday Ticket is exclusively DirecTV?
