11:9 These shall ye eat of all that are in the waters: whatsoever hath fins and scales in the waters, in the seas, and in the rivers, them shall ye eat.
11:10 And all that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of any living thing which is in the waters, they shall be an abomination unto you: (11:10-12) Clams, oysters, crabs, lobsters, and shrimp are abominations.
11:11 They shall be even an abomination unto you; ye shall not eat of their flesh, but ye shall have their carcases in abomination.
11:12 Whatsoever hath no fins nor scales in the waters, that shall be an abomination unto you.
Why do they make a fuss about gays, but not about shellfish?

You really need to reead the whole book.
(AND! How nice. You're comparing gays with bottom feeders.)
The Old Testament Laws were written for the Jews as part of their dietary rules. The critters you cite were ritually "unclean."
These rules were done away with at the Cross of Jesus.
Acts 11:4
But Peter rehearsed the matter from the beginning, and expounded it by order unto them, saying,
5 I was in the city of Joppa praying: and in a trance I saw a vision, A certain vessel descend, as it had been a great sheet, let down from heaven by four corners; and it came even to me:
6 Upon the which when I had fastened mine eyes, I considered, and saw fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.
7 And I heard a voice saying unto me, Arise, Peter; slay and eat.
8 But I said, Not so, Lord: for nothing common or unclean hath at any time entered into my mouth.
9 But the voice answered me again from heaven, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.

Paul had a vision in the New Testament where God said that all food was acceptable to eat. So the food laws in the Old Testament do not necessarily have to be followed. As a Christian, I do not hate gays, but God does say that the act of homosexuality is a sin.

Everybody knows that Red Lobster has a largely homosexual staff.
You should really try to keep up.

Maybe they should crucify the oysters or clams for the sins of all non finned and non scalled creatures living in the sea.

I completely agree. I realized that long time ago.
What happens is that people like quoting certain verses out of context to justify their "superiority" or hatred towards others. It's happened throughout history and not just against gays.

Yes, I dont eat that stuff. And gay people are nice to me... but i am not put on earth to question the Bible....thats someone else's job.
Also in Galatians all the food laws are abolished, but in Romans the homosexual laws are confirmed again. Remember, Christians are in the NEW covenant not the old.
Blessings,
David

The old food laws were never reaffirmed in the new testament but rules against homo sexuality were.
