It's illegal for a reason. In a few years you'll turn 18 and realize why, maybe you'll figure it out befor then. I was in the same situation, and it wasn't pretty. Age is just a number once both parties are legal. I just turned 18. I'm glad I didn't date some of the older guys I wanted to when I was younger, and I wish I didn't date some of the others. Take my advice and find a cute fifteen year old, someone you can go through high school with. When you are older it isnt much of a big deal, my boyfriend now is 22, but when I was 14, if I was dating a guy that was 19, oooh man, I would have been in some trouble with my parents. Stick with the guys at school, that way you can show off your boyfriend in the hallways, and dance with someone at homecomming.

The only answer right now is to wait. You're no way no how ready for a serious relationship. (He's probably not either at his age.)
If you two really like each other, be friends and let the rest wait. That way you'll know each other well enough to really make it work when the time comes. But remember, hormones are crazy when you're young and temptation gets about impossible to resist after a while, so don't put yourself in situations alone with him.
This advice can work! My husband was 16 and I was 21 when we met, so it's not a crazy impossible thing. We waited a while before we started dating and got to be really good friends in the meantime. We had our 10th wedding anniversary this year. :)

You would be making a big mistake. A 20 year old man shouldn't even be looking at a 14 year old, and honestly he must be pretty disgusting to even entertain the idea. Please don't take offense to that, but when you're 20 and you look at a 14 year old you will see where I'm coming from. If you were 24 and he was 30, not as bad, but right now its not right - it's illegal for a reason.

Hi , on the subject of your concern there are many aspects to consider , nothing is simple in this life.Time and experience tend to change our views and you are still an young woman so I would suggest that you give yourself time before you make a decision that you may regret later. In the time of my grand parents many woman as young as you married or eloped with older men so therefore that is a relative aspect but there are laws in this country that if your boyfriend is engaging in sexual relations with you he may find himself in a lot of problems. In Europe you would not have that many problems since Europeans tend to be more open minded that the average American,so my counsel would be to exercise caution and avoid getting pregnant until you can sort out and decide if it is love or just passion.Sometimes we confuse both and get into trouble in the process.

Keep you hot legs closed. At 14 you're not old enough to drive, vote or work, let alone have sex with an adult. Yes, it is illegal, I hope you do the right thing for yourself. A man at the age of 20 only wants sex from a young, inexperienced babe, like yourself. Don't risk ruining your life for meaningless sex which can lead to unwanted pregnancy and diseases... DON'T GET INVOLVED!!

You need to stay away from him. You are a minor and he is an adult. Find a nice guy closer to your age. This guy should know better than to get involved with a 14 year old.
Even if you did date him he would probably dump you in a few years for another young girl.

If you like him and don't want him to go to jail then you two will have to wait a few years. If he really likes you, he will wait. If you two hook up then he can go to jail and be considered a child molester for the rest of his life. Even if you are willing, he knows better and is considered the adult. You are a child in the eyes of the law. I know several people that were in your postion. They are not registered sex offenders. They cannot live close to schools, there are alot of rules they have to go by for the rest of their lives. PLEASE, PLEASE, don't do anything stupid. 6 years is usually not a very big difference...except in this case. Wait, you won't be sorry you did.

You do nothing! Absolutely nothing!
He should not even be looking at you, never mind wanting to date you. If he were to touch you he could be in a lot of trouble from the law. Do you want him to go to prison? At fourteen you cannot consent to have sex with a man. Even if you threw yourself at him he would be charged with rape and sent to jail.
Leave him alone! And, hopefully he has enough sense to leave you alone.
