We are in the stage before dating and there's deffinitally something there... i know he's buying me a gift but i cant figure out what to get him.he hasnt said anything to give me ideas exept books but i dont think i want to give him a book.

Why on earth don't you date him? Is he a boyfriend substitute, just some guy you're keeping around in case nobody better comes along? Just date him already! You don't have to have sex if you're just dating, you know. It isn't fair to string him along like that.
Anyway, about the gift . . . how about music? A nifty gadget? A pocket knife? He might find that to be useful. You can get a decent pocket knife for about $15. Try to get him one that will not destroy his pockets. Or you could get him a wallet too. Good luck!

Either date him or don't -- but stop teasing him and leading him on emotionally.
