so basically i dont have bf . and i have male friends who said that to me. they basically dont allow me to go out with their other friends. and the reason is this... i find it very sad..
is it trying to say i'm just to mature and boring no fun kind of person??

This is a good thing. Women are either wife material or fling material. Your friend doesn't want to see you get hurt by his friends who are only looking for sex & fun.

Hang out with your male friends is what it takes ... soon or late you meet them all and once you find out how each ticks .... you can ask the one you like to know better to dinner and that you are cooking ... and then you can pick and choose ... from there..
So, your wife material.... means you like cleaning up after them and not the wild party girl ... which is fine .... you have a route, all your male friends know where you are at all time ... and would never do anything that is wild to turn them on, you therfore would be like a wife in there minds... your always there for them and your easy going ... like a wife...

What it means depends on what your male friends are like.
I can think of these two possibilities:
1) Your male friends like you and want to keep you for themselves, therefore don't want to share you with their friends.
2) Your male friends know that those other friends who are interested to get to know you more are not husband material. Those other friends may be just after flings or fun.
It is good to be told that you are a wife material. It certainly says that you are mature, but I don't know about boring or no fun.

Sadly, you are circulating among the wrong men. They think of you as a friend, a sister, but are not romantically attracted to you. They want to say something nice and this is the best that they can come up with.
Whatever you do, don't try to become the kind of woman that you THINK that they will be attracted to. Continue to be your same "marrying-kind" self. There will be many out there that will find that very attractive. (Isn't that the kind of person you would want to be attracted to anyway?)
You need to circulate more.

Be happy guys say that. It means you are a classy gal and not a sleep around ho like many of today's young women. I think they also say this because you have traditional values and the fact that they don't want you to go out with other friends is because you don't put out like the rest. You are not boring, you are a classy gal with traditional values. Screw what everyone else thinks, because only you can decide who you have sex with and when. If they don't like it, too bad for them.

It's just who you are. It isn't bad.
It means you're the type of girl a guy would take home to meet his parents. You aren't wild and going to make his parents question everything. You are the type of girl every mother wishes her son could date.
Your friends probably don't let you go out with their other friends because they would lead you in a direction you don't want to go. It's probably that they are trying to protect you from things that could get you in trouble.

Hopefully you're not taking what he said in a derogatory way. It is actually very respectable.
Single men looking for a good time want the "party girl." It's not what they would want in a wife.
Don't change yourself to please anyone for the moment. When you're older you will understand exactly what means and be proud of yourself.

I'd say they're being protective. I don't know what they mean by it, but I know what I consider wife material and it isn't at all bad. You'd be someone that I trust enough and enjoy enough that I'd want to grow old with you.

in a word, YES. I have been referred to as good wife material too, and it sucks. Your good enough to be a wife but not good enogh to date. It's a terrible excuse men use when they aren't ready to settle down. It's not you it is them! Good Luck! You will find your perfect match.
