I just had this done! So I know allll about it! And getting braces in 2 weeks =/
First, the dentist will put a numbing gel on your gums.
Then he/she will wait a couple minutes and put the novacaine shot in, but you really only feel a tiny pinch. Wait til your numb.
Finally, they use an instrument to push in the tooth with much pressure (you feel no pain, just pressure) and then get another instrument and rock it back and forth. You hear the roots coming out and thats a little creepy but its fine. Then they do it again and your done =)
You will be sore. You cant drink through a straw or anything like that, dont eat anything hard for at least 4 days, be careful. Dont be nervous, I was and almost threw up! But dont worry! You will be sore but it is okay and somewhat bearable. Good luck!
Email me if you need to know anything else =)

The dentist will numb the gums for you. You might ask for a "twilight procedure where you are put to sleep for the time it takes to pull them, but after you are no longer numb, it will hurt until you heal. The dentist will give you something for the pain. But, I am sorry to say, it will hurt for a while.

I was scared out of my MIND when I found out was getting it done. But it wasn't as bad as I thought. I dont think I had to get a shot tho. What they do is numb it, and then I forgot what's next. But i do remember they take a device and move your tooth back and forth. It sounds JUST like rice crispies xD Then you will say, "Is it done?" and the dentist goes, "Yup!" You don't feel it when it comes out. I felt a bt toward the end tho. Then your dentist shows the tooth to your Mom and she passes out xD That's what happened to mine. Poor Mom :)

DOES THIS HURT WHEN THEY'RE PULLED? NO.
IS THERE SOME PAIN AFTERWARD? A SMALL AMOUNT IS LIKELY, BUT IT'S NOT SOMETHING THAT LASTS, AND ADVIL (IBUPROFEN)WORKS WELL.
