thats very true - we shld all pray in private and commune with God privately. when we do in public we tend to debase ourselves as we may try to impress the others that we love God etc etc. there may be a sense of hypocrisy. eg if you dont go to church on sundays some will say you're not a true christian. who decides that you are not a christian! him? her? priest? no its God! therefore you're on the right track. lock your room and no one can interrupt.

Many people are uncomfortable praying in front of others. You may want to check into why you would get mad when someone comes in as you are praying. Other than that, you're normal my friend. God bless you.

The wording of your question is a little different. The real issue for me is that I do not mind if you are a little weird, it makes the world a little more colorful place. May god bless us all with peace, prosperity and brotherhood.

No.... that's what God wants, is a personal relationship, one on one, IT'S more personal, spiritual, and you can work up a good heart felt prayer, that would ensure a faster answer.
I like to pray alone, unless I am teaching my son, he's four.
God bless you sweetie!
Love and peace!

Now why would praying in any form be odd. I pray in silence more than in words so no one knows but living a good life is the best prayer in many ways.

Not at all my friend. You shouldn't try and pray before others because that is trying to show off. It says it in the Bible, don't fluant like the hypocrites that donate money in front of everyone. I too don't like to pray around others.

As a Muslim I am taught to conceal my sins with my good deeds. If you are pious who cares? Intention should matter, not who sees you committing the good deed. In my opinion, if you hide a deed and it has the same positive result it is better. You have to have done it for the right reason, not for glory or respect which would make it useless.

Scriptureman says:
Mat 6:6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

I think it's a little odd that you would want a complete stranger to sum you up based on a couple of lines on the web.
