I ask because like the people who answered below I also get more compliments with straight hair vs curly, and therefore I feel more confident when it's straight

well, my hair is naturally curly/wavy, and i tend to get a lot more compliments from my guy friends when I straighten it, more often than not...but unless you actually do something with the curly hair, like tame it or whatever, then straightening is better :)

Yeah guys what do you like? My guess is straight. I know since I've streaked and straighten my hair these days I get more compliments than I've had in ages. I think it looks healthier or younger perhaps. Mind you some women have the most beautiful full bodied hair, curls and waves and I know when I was younger my hair was like that and everyone always complimented me. Still like that but I just can't be bothered to play with it like when I was single and had the time...so much easier to straighten and it last for two or three days so I can go without washing it every day which is really bad for your hair.

Most guys like straight hair that they can play with. Curly hair is sometimes too out of control!! But, if I guy only judges on your hair something's wrong with him!!

Over all most guys prefer their hair to be straight. All though skate border guys like their hair to be curly or the ends to be sorta' like sticking' out. It mostly depends what your decision is and if it fits your style or your personality.

It depends on the guy and his taste. Some men like curly hair, some like straight. Some guys like skinny women, some like women with meat on their bones. Some guys like blondes, some like brunettes more. Some guys like big breasts, some like smaller. Some guys like tall girls, some like short.
Most women have their idea of the ideal man, as each man probably has a vision of "the woman of his dreams".

Do you really care what a guy thinks about YOUR hair?
I'll tell you this much. We like confidence more--your hair is just hair. Keep it clean and presentable, but style your hair the way YOU like, not the way some guy likes it.
Remember, you're the one that has to carry it around.

I think it depends on the guy really.
but im assuming if you always have your hair straight its just natural the if you curl it people will noice it more and compliment it if they like it. the same goes with straightening curly/wavy hair.
