I've been eventing for the past 9 years or so, the past 5 on my own horse. During the winter, when eventing season ends, I show jumpers. It helps keep my horse and I in shape for when eventing starts up in the spring. I currently show recognized Beginner Novice, and ended my season at a Recognized Novice event - we finished 9th out of 15 or 20 -- the class ribboned through 8th. Oh well. LOL
Hope this helps

I used to show some when I was younger. The kids who lived at the farm I worked on showed alot.
Mostly I was involved with the racing end of the business.
I rode as a exercise rider at the track.
Now I ride for pleasure and re-train ex-racers for a second career.

Showing is on the back burner these days. I used to event and got into showing saddlebreds for a little bit.
Wouldn't it be nice to have a section in Yahoo Answers for Equestrians? We could quit posting in 'General Pets' and 'Horse Racing'.
