Jehovah's Witnesses are true Christians. Christianity is unique in that it has no provision for its adherents to engage in warfare. Those ostensible "Christians" who do so ignore the Scriptures and the teachings and example of Jesus Christ himself.

(Matthew 26:52) Jesus said to him: “Return your sword to its place, for all those who take the sword will perish by the sword

(Isaiah 2:4) They will have to beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning shears. Nation will not lift up sword against nation, neither will they learn war anymore.

(2 Corinthians 10:3-4) We do not wage warfare according to what we are in the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not fleshly

(Luke 6:27-29) I [Jesus] say to you who are listening, Continue to love your enemies, to do good to those hating you, to bless those cursing you, to pray for those who are insulting you. To him that strikes you on the one cheek, offer the other also

Neither Christianity or Islam is violent! Both religions preach peace and have a set of morals that look shockingly the same. The religious zealots are not a good example of the faith in either case. But, both religions share the blame for allowing people to use their religion to justify some horrific actions in the past. Jehovah’s Witnesses haven’t had the time to blacken themselves yet.

Of course not, this is what that verse says.

Then Jesus said to him: “Return your sword to its place, for all those who take the sword will perish by the sword.

But they do use the sword , which is the Word of God.They teach about God's name which is Jehovah. They use the Word of God ,most any translation, to clearly help people understand the scriptures.

They have taught me things that are much clearer now. They know how to use that sword very well; The Word of God. Not a sword that is made of metal like Matt. 26:52

I'm not a JW. but have been learning about them.

Absolutely yes I do know I wouldn't be one if they did thisn or were like the rest of religions who kill their own brothers or sisters in the same religion but in other countries, no, but Jehovah's witnesses have a global brotherhood world wide and peace and love amongst themselves even amidst all the turmoil in the world today!
It may sound difficult for some to believe, but Jehovah's Witnesses really and truly do have the truth. Their theology is solidly bible-based and unimaginably consistent. There are literally *NO* biblical mysteries that do not fit perfectly into the faith's belief system. Every verse of the bible helps assure its adherents that they have the true religion.

What Christians are threatening violence? There are no violent Christians anymore. Passionate about the truth, yes. God does say that Godly leaders should administer righteous judgment (civil law) and we should obey the laws of the land that adhere to God's laws. Why are you singling out J.W.'s as being the only religion to believe this? Our people have been conscientious objectors as well and we are conservative Christians. In fact, do you know any real Christians or what one should be?

Well, one cannot just simply take a single isolated verse and build a doctrine out of it. It has been said that to take a verse out of context is a pretext. In the verse that you cite, Jesus was telling Peter to put up his sword, because the things that were getting ready to happen had to happen in order to fulfill propehcy. The words of Jesus at that moment meant that the kingdom of God would not be ushered in at that time by the use of force. This verse should not be used, by the Jehovah's Witnesses nor anyone else, to teach nonviolence in all situations. For example, we can look at Luke Chapter 22. This chapter also provides details of Christ's final night with His disciples at the Passover, just before His arrest. Look at verse 36. He tells His disciples that if they do NOT HAVE a sword then they need to sell their garment in order to get enough money to buy one. In His last moments with His disciples, Jesus was telling them that soon they would be rejected and face great opposition, and that they needed to be prepared for what was to come. Jesus instructed them to have a sword, to be ready.

Neither do most people today, but muslims keep insisting we take the blame for the crusades, which was a response to Christians and Jews being slaughtered by the thousands in the holy land, by the way.

My religion( Seventh-Day Adventist) believe in not taking up the sword. We are told to enter the Medical field. We should not enter the Military unless to be a medic or if your country calls you because Christians should defend their nation.
