Wal-mart's got a lot of stuff and great prices - Target has better quality items and cleaner/less crowded stores.

Everyone is pissed at Wal-Mart right now. Target has some different things, but they are usually "cheaper" and I don't mean money wise. Wal-Mart is better for the community as far as donations. Every town has a Wal-Mart, not every town has a Target. If Sam Walton were here I think things would be a lot different with Wal-Mart. I've heard a bunch of trash on who owns Target on the internet...but you can't believe half the sh*t you read on the net. Why do you ask? Such an odd question.

Wal Mart has everything. My hobbies include working on cars and sewing...now think how far apart those 2 hobbies are. Yet I can go to Wal Mart and buy all the sewing essentials I need and go to the automotive and browse around to see if I need anything there to complete a car project.
Of course, I shop at a Super Wal Mart and I love it and hate it for the same reason--they carry just about everything under the sun. Which can be a pain in the rear when you just want to buy a couple of things but they are on the opposite sides of the store--yet I will continue to shop there.
I can pick up some groceries, a new car battery, a gallon of wall paint for my kitchen, a couple of pairs of slacks for work, a router for my computer, and have some film developed. All in one place. All at one time. It is too convenient to ever give up.
Target is O.K.--but I have had some not so nice experiences at Target. Also, there is no Super Target near me.

Target because Wal Mart does have good prices but most of the workers are always in a piss poor moods and they really don't care what you want as long as the get there money they are fine. Most the time the Wal Mart stores are nasty and filthy while Target keeps clean aisles Target seems to have a better quality items also with not that big of a price jump.

it all depends on your wallet size. Both are considered thrifty stores, although Target is usually a little more expensive than Wal-Mart. But, WalMart usually has a limited selection, and many of their items are not very good... you can find better ones at target, which is worth the extra penny. Plus, poor Target is suffering because the evil Walmart is sucking in more average people instead of just rednecks like it used to, because of their cheap prices, and so many business are going out of business. Personally, in conclusion, I choose Target! Because even though it's a little more expensive, it has MUCH better items, it's more customer friendly, the atmosphere is nicer and cleaner and it isn't run by evil rednecks, and the logo is a cute little doggie instead of a scary yellow 3-D smiley face like walmart. because Wal mart stinks. It stinks bigtime.

Wal mart definitely has lower prices and offers a wider variety of everything!
Target has really great home furnishings, awesome bed sheets and towels with vibrant colors and unique patterns. Their greetings cards and wrapping paper are also very different, with a vast selection. As far as clothing, shoes, and accessories, Target is more modern and trendy. Target has really fun ads and overall, the store looks more upscale and "chic".

However, for the average working fool like me, I tend to get lots more bang for my buck at Wal mart, plus the smiley faces make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside! Happy Holidays!

Wal-mart prices are very competitive - but they are stopping the layaway. Target may be a little more expensive, but they still have their layaway. I'm a Wal-mart shopper - but if I want to put something I cannot afford to buy upfront, I'd go to Target and put it in the layaway. Hope that helps. Merry X-mas.

Wal-mart, definitely.

A Rasmussen Reports survey conducted on June 28, 2006 found that 69% of Americans have a favorable opinion of Walmart, including 29% who have a very favorable opinion of the retail giant. Twenty-nine percent (29%) also have an unfavorable opinion of the firm. Lower and middle income Americans are more likely to have a favorable opinion of Walmart than upper income Americans.

The reviews are even better among those who have worked for Walmart (or have family members who have been employed by the firm). Among these workers, 79% have a favorable opinion of the company.

Forty-two percent (42%) of all Americans say they shop at Walmart at least once a month. This includes 7% who visit at least once a week. Not surprisingly, Walmart shoppers have a much higher opinion of the store than those who rarely or never shop there.

Twenty-five percent (25%) of Americans say they rarely or never shop at Walmart. Among these adults, just 35% have a favorable opinion of the company.

Given a choice, between Walmart, Target, and K-mart, 48% of Americans would shop at Walmart. Thirty percent (30%) picked Target and 9% K-Mart.

Wal*mart is the best store. They don't ask you to sign up for a credit card or anything. Plus the prices are pretty good.
I can also find a Wal*Mart or Supercenter anywhere.

Target, by a mile. Better store, MUCH better service! Target is focused on customers. Wal-Mart is focused on mediocrity.
