I think it depends on where you live and what kind of person you're looking for. It also depends on what you look like, how much you make, and how tall/fat/picky you are. Personally, I have my doubts. I would consider it a last resort, and almost certainly a very expensive way of finding suitable dates (I would expect very few of them to be suitable, anyway). I guess I'll try it if I get out of grad school, find a job, and still don't have a girlfriend. Good luck though!

From my experiences, no. People have a tendency to judge others based on their appearance instead of personality. Relationships that start based on appearance have a tendency to start out hot, and then cool down as those two people get to know one another. When relationships are started because two people have a lot in common, then they seem to be the ones that last. When people have common interests they are able to get along better, and don't seem to fizzle out as quickly. If you're going to try the on-line dating scene be sure to check out their whole profile and not just judge them by their pictures.

I think it works... my last three boyfriends I met online and I'm now engaged.

It allows you to pre-screen before you decide to meet someone in real life.

I think it works. You just have to make sure you're careful and you use good judgement. If something doesn't feel right when you're talking to someone online, than chances are, that it isn't right. :)

not really, the chance of meeting a person you can get along with are slim but not impossible. (even tough they have those personality tests)
