12 isn't a teenager yet but maybe some make up, but not that hor stuff either, just like natural colors. Or, math and reading games for the computer, maybe a digatil camera, trust me thats what she might want, i know i just turned 13 in june. (but i think i act a little bit more adultish than her, i mean i'm going out with a 16yr old.)

Yeah when I was twelve I got an MP3 player and all of that junk. But if your girl like learning and stuff... figure out what she likes to read. Just like posted earlier, if she reads Harry Potter, get her one she hasn't read. Maybe get her a new book that you think she might be interested in. Ever heard of the Leapster Learning thing? You could get her one of those.

1. Borders Gift Card ( this way, you won't have to look for books she likes, she can just make the decision herself)
2. Math Books

If she likes reading, I suggest a gift card to a large book store chain.

Well when I reached that age, I was getting interested in electronics. how about an ipod or digital camera? i was also getting really interested in boys, so i got films with my crushes in them, and posters. or if she is the all study-type, get her a laptop maybe, if thats too expensive, try a giftcard.

~umm, twelve yr. olds are not teenagers. hehe
