JESUS SAID, "TAKE NO THOUGHT FOR YOUR LIFE, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on."--Don't worry about whether you're going to have anything to eat or enough to wear. He says that you're not even to worry about the necessities of life! "Is not the life more than meat, & the body than raiment?" Mat:6:25 "BEHOLD THE FOWLS OF THE AIR: FOR THEY SOW NOT, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your Heavenly Father feedeth them."--The birds don't reap & store up for the future! "Are you not much better than they?"Mat:6:26--"If I feed the birds, don't you think I'm going to feed you?" Don't you think He's more concerned about you?"THEREFORE TAKE NO THOUGHT"--that means fretting, worried, anxious thought. Don't worry about, "What shall we eat, or what shall we drink, or wherewithal shall we be clothed? For after all these things do the Gentiles"--the World--"seek". Mat.6:31That's all the Worldly people live for, that's all they work for

!--To have something to eat, drink, wear & live in. They're slaves of things! "For your Heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things." Mat:6:32
BUT "SEEK YE FIRST THE KINGDOM OF GOD & HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS; & all these things shall be added unto you!" Mat:6:33 Put God's Kingdom first! Just obey the Lord & He'll do all the rest! Drop your "nets", follow Jesus, do His work, witness, win souls, go into all the World & preach the Gospel to every creature! Take care of God's business & He'll take care of you!--Because that is His business, taking care of you! So how do you so called "Christians" apply this to you? Oh wait let me guess it doen't!? So can you tell me "Christians" what exactly DOES apply's to YOU in YOUR Bible??

I don't worry about anything, because I trust Jesus Christ 100%. I believe the Holy Bible 100%
What is your point?
Please don't judge, because you don't know every Christian.
To answer your question, all parts of the Bible applies to us Christians, except where it applies to those that are non-believers.
It is very easy to tell the difference. I will pick one verse and try and show you, take verse 12 from the book of 1 John Ch. 5 " He that hath the Son hath life, and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life".
The first part is talking to Christians because we have the Son of God in us. The second part is talking to non-believers, because they do not have the Son.
Here is one more, Revelation Ch.21:7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.( this verse is talking to Christians, because we have overcome Satan by trusting in Jesus Christ.)
This next verse is talking to non-believers. verse 8 " But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murders, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liers, shall have their part in the lake of fire and brimstone, which is the second death".
If you can't tell when God is talking to believers and non-believers, then you need to set down with an older mature Christian and let them teach you. Also I read where you say you are high all the time. It is no wonder you are having a hard time understand the Bible, much less anything else in life. Also the Bible is hard to understand for many older people, let alone a 14 years old.

Making ends meet was also a major concern when Jesus Christ was on the earth. But he warned that this legitimate concern could become an overriding anxiety shutting out spiritual things. To illustrate his point, Jesus told his disciples to look closely at the birds and the flowers.
Birds need to eat every day—proportionately a lot more than we do because of their high metabolic rate. Moreover, they cannot sow seed, reap, or store food for the future. Yet, as Jesus observed, our “heavenly Father feeds them.” (Matthew 6:26) Likewise, God clothes in the finest array the beautiful “lilies of the field.”—Matthew 6:28-30.
Jesus assures us that if we keep material needs in proper perspective and give spiritual things priority, God will make sure that we also have the necessary food and clothing. If Jehovah God cares for the birds and the flowers, he will surely care for those who love him and ‘keep on seeking first the kingdom and his righteousness.’ (Matthew 6:33) Are we putting the interests of God’s Kingdom first in our life?

The Bible uses many metaphors. When in Mat 6 he is talking about the fowls of the air? I actually love that verse, it is basically saying he takes care of what he created. To not worry about when times are rough, your Lord God will provide. The Gentiles "the world" cares only about what they can do for themselves. Its nice to know I work to do these things but if it was all taken away, God would find a way.
I like that you are reading scripture, ask for God to reveal himself and even if you are reading just to prove a point at least you are reading.

You do realize that in the scripture you just quoted, Jesus was speaking directly to the apostles don't you? In the days of the testament, preachers and teachers were cared for by the congregation, so they had no need to worry about those things because they were provided. He was telling men who had been laborers all their lives that they need not worry about such things, only about carrying the word of god to the people. These scriptures can give inspiration to anyone, in that the lord looks out for his people. But the overall truth is that they do NOT apply to people now, and should not in this society where it is so easy to survive and acquire what is needed for health and life. The only way they apply to people in the modern world is that what they truly need (the word of God) is provided for them free of charge, and without work involved.
Had to add a footnote: Apparently, some folks believe that "the lord will provide" means that it will come to them on its own. In my humble opinion, God or Allah or whatever god you believe in, being a caring deity, would have provided you with the knowledge, skills and ability to get off your butt and get it for yourself. Anyone who doesn't aquire what they need by the best legal means available to them deserves to do without, unless physical or mental impairment stops them, which is what disability payments and charity are suppose to be for. Have a nice day.

the truth is christianity is a false religion. although many belive in it, few practice it. the founding of christianity is old and many changes have been made from the old testament. The padalins would fight in the renassance, and have been picking on the jews since existence. have you ever worked in a fast food resturant next to a church? every wensday and sunday after church ends croweds of christians rush in and are THE MOST RUDE people i have ever met. there are many more respectable religions, such as buddism, where they dont care what outsiders think of them, and the jews who spend they're lives bettering themselves dedicating every day to thier studies. if you took any public school in america, 95% of the children would say they're christians, but less than 10 % can recite 5 verses. christianity is popular because that is what america was founded upon when we broke from britan and brought up the puritans (christians who hunted for witches)

You are right, put God first in all things and he will do the rest. Is that not the peace of being a Christian? The joy of knowing that know matter what you are going through God is with you. His promise of our future. He is telling you He loves you more than the birds, plants, and other creations of this world. He made it all, He loves it all, but He glories in you. Because of this you will be taken care of if only you put Him first. God is great, and awesome, and those of you who could not see what was being said are still blinded. Read without judgment, hear what God is saying to you. The words of God are never rambling, and wisdom comes from knowing that.

I am a Christian of more than 20 years. The journey is long and very difficult. I try my very best to obey the LORD in "Seek ye first the Kingdom of God..." (which to me means to put God first i all things...). But I and all my fellow Christians - no matter how mature - have CLAY feet. We still worry, we still suffer bouts of doubt and anxiety. I am sorry we give you the wrong impression. You also should realize that many of Jesus' sayings are hyperbolisms - that is, they are exagerrations to bring out the lesson more clearly. When He said, "Take no thought (of what to eat, drink, wear), He did not at all mean that we are to be irresponsible and all quit working for a living... what He meant was that in these things, we are not to be "like the Gentiles" (unbeleivers) who thought ONLY of these things and of acquiring more and more of them. In other words, we (His followers) are not to be materialistic, but spiritual people.

What are you talking about? I trust that Jesus will take care of me,and I tell the Gospel to people.I haven't said that it doesn't apply to me,and this question seems nothing more than a rant. And yes,I've read the question.Oh,and it is a rant ! I'm not sure what answer you are looking for.Where did you get the idea that someone would tell you that this verse doesn't apply to Christians? Oh,I see.You want an answer that agrees with your point of view.

Ma'am, you seem to have forgotten to take your medication, this morning.
"We Christians" do follow the Teachings of Jesus Christ who thought us a lot of things that are worth learning. Secondly, the New Testament is made up of the testaments, or witness reports, of more than one person. You might notice that you're quoting only one of them.
I wonder if you've ever heard the quote "God helps those who help themselves"?
Finally, since you are, obviously, not a Christian, your posting such insulting and provocative Questions is very distasteful. I would suggest that you cease and desist.
Merry Christmas.

What would make you think we don't trust in God's provision?
Oh! Wait! I know! All those "televangelists" you see on TV? Or the big mega-churches with thousands of members?
Couldn't POSSIBLY be that God HAS provided for these people?
Yea, I know. "Christians aren't supposed to be rich & have nice things." Not sure where that came from, but it certainly wasn't God.
Seems to me like another excuse to not follow Him.
