A lasso is essentially just a rope. While rope is darned useful stuff to have around it isn't exactly a useful anti-personnel weapon like the sword.
Rope has been around since before recorded history and so have swords (at least in their bronze and stone short-sword forms). There's no way to count and really no comparison between the two. Most swords and ropes don't come with serial numbers and entries in manufacturer logbooks.
The official answer to your question is: Lots.

Swords I'm sure. They were primary battle weapons for thousands of years. Lassos are mostly used by cowboys.

Swords because they were used in wars and in wars people didn't fight with their lassos.And because there were many battles in history,I'd say that swords were more often used.
