In my year off I never accepted the guys that flirted with me at work.NOW its college and I've realized that I've totally royaly screwed myself over in the love department.Men are still after me.I'm just so damn unexperienced I don't know how to react..so i just reject them...sad I know..but how do I get over my embarresment of inexperience and try to get to know a guy? I don't even have guy friends. I'm totally retarded in this aspect. I'm afraid if a guy finds out I'm so inexperienced he will think I'm a freak and want nothing to do with me, but by doing nothing I'm digging a deeper hole for myself. I've tried being friendy and joining clubs, but college is mostly filled with girls. Once this guy tried to get my attention, so I gave him eye contact and he didn't talk to me again for 3 days! How do I get myself out of this mess for next semester, or outside of school with bar men?

hi, i was in the absolute exact position as you...except i'm a guy. virgin in college, the whole deal. here's what i did. first i had that moment where i was like, wow, i'm in college and have been ignoring girls because of my inexperience and now i feel like it's too late! it's scary. it's not the end though. i decided to just go with whatever happens. no matter what. i told myself i will do whatever it takes to make it work and do things i wouldnt normally do. so i ended up making an account on match.com. within 3 months a girl contacted me. she was coming home from college for the summer and we met up. i have been with her for over 6 months now! was i scared she would leave or think it was weird i was so inexperienced? sure, but you cant let it stop you. i realized as we got to know eachother more that it didnt even matter. if the other person cares about you, it doesnt matter. she totally accepted me for who i was. and i was honest with her. i told her i was a virgin. she was actually surprised and didnt believe me. not because i was older and hadnt had sex, but because she thought i WAS experienced! just go with it. if the guy thinks it weird or has a problem, he doesnt really care about you. try match. its a really easy way to meet some cool people. hope this helps.

Don't worry about that, you can learn fast. This is coming from a 21-year-old virgin and college guy. But why reject these guys if they're not chumps? And if a guy tries to get your attention, and you like him, you will need to do more than just look at him. Maybe you gave him eye contact and scared him away. Even though it's supposedly our job to take the initiative all the time, it's so hard for us sometimes. When you like a guy, you're going to have to go right up to him and start talking. Making conversation is about the most important thing you can do. But these things come from experience. One thing at a time! I don't know how college goes but i'm one of the only virgins in my school and that intregues the guys that i know. that way they have the power and they want to be your first. Just be open to love. I don't know how you survived without guy friends. Most of my friends are guys.
