I am trying to find out how often a normal, healthy person urinates each day. I'm trying to set up some research that involves normal, healthy people going to the bathroom, but I need to know how long to keep my subjects in order to have them go to the bathroom twice while they're with me. I can't seem to find information anywhere about normal, healthy people. Everything I find is about people with urinary tract problems. Do you know how often a normal, healthy person urinates? Please don't answer unless you can provide your source. I need a source. I don't care how much *you* personally pee. Thanks.

Okay, seriously. I need sources I can CITE. Your boyfriend saying so or your random teacher saying so or how often *you* pee doesn't help. I can't cite your boyfriend, your teacher or you...unless one of you has publised a journal article on the subject.

Thank you to those of you who gave me some websites. I've already done google searches and looked at wikipedia and goaskalice and such. I do have to be picky. I came here for help because I've done research already and I can't find anything. I'm still hoping someone will suggest something I haven't thought of.

I found the answer finally. Thank you to those who actually tried to help me. In case you're curious...normal people urinate within 2 to 5 hours of filling the bladder: http://kidney.niddk.nih.gov/kudiseases/pubs/yoururinary/
Another site said that we excrete three-fourths of what we drink. The bladder holds approximately 16 oz. So...I will have to give them 64 oz of fluid and wait anywhere from 2 to 5 hours. I am going to give them tea (a diuretic) to try to speed the process. Thanks again.
