Everybody is blinded by there own religous misconceptions.
Wouldn't the world be a great place if neither of the three major monotheistic religions just didn't exist? Everybody could go on acknowledging god in their own way, and nobody would care.
That would be bitchin'.

If you weren't brought up being a christian then, it's really hard for you to be a believer. Most people in this world don't want to hear about God and don't know what's the real truth. And That what makes me sad :(
I'm glad I know the real truth and was brought up right.
I Love God and Jesus

Your reading the wrong stuff if you think that most of the world doesn't love God. The silent majority is Christian, the loud minority is non-believers. All the rubbish that you read in papers and see on the news is from a select few, it doesn't reflect the majority views.

They don't get that the words in the bible were written by men, that each man can only tell or write a tiny piece of the infinite message presented to him, as fits with his own mind, his own thoughts, his own opinions, and his own ways of thinking. He is literally blind to the rest of the message.
So most people cannot reconcile the idea of a loving god with the angry, jealous, judgemental Deity presented in the Old Testament, nor can they see that the horrid, anti-human, anti-freedom things written in the New Testament were all written by Saul Antichrist, who pretended to be converted from Judaism, and thus changed his name to 'Paul'.
It takes a while to forgive god for the actions of those who say that they are acting or speaking in His Name.....

Most of the world doesn't because they never REALLY understood the Bible. Most are too caught up in the here and now. It's REALLY simple, Love thy God, and Love Thy Neighbor. What's so horribly wrong with that?

They are too busy having fun and being self involved
In this modern era each of us has pretty much made ourselves our own personal God.
Most people say they are 'too busy' for worship
and people spend their lives like hamsters in a wheel
tooling around and around to make money and live a luxurious life.

"This I say therefore, and affirm together with the Lord, that you walk no longer just as the Gentiles also walk, in the futility of their mind, being darkened in their understanding, excluded from the life of God because of the ignorance in them, because of the hardness of their heart..." (Ephesians 4: 17,18)
"We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one" ( I John 5:19)
" ...in whose case the god of this age has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that they might not see the light of the Gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God (II Corinthians 4:4)
"and these things they will do (persecute believers) because they have not known the Father or Me (Jesus Christ)" (John 16:3)

Check the Bible. The world is of sin. God has no sin. God is not of this world.

I have to believe it's because they are too much in love with worldly things and don't want to have anything to do with something really good in their lives. They probably think their life would be dull if they found the Lord. We know it's just the other way around. Life begins with God.
