That's so exciting. If you want to marry him, say yes. A long engagement is ok. My sister's bf is going to be coming home from the army for Christmas and he's going to propose, so they are going to have to wait like 2-3 years. **** Luck!

There is nothing with a long engagment! that gives you plenty of time to talk about future plans. ask him where he'd like to be in 10 years, and how he plans on getting there. if you really want to be with him, say yes!!!!! don't get cold feet over some fear that u have that might not ever happen.

it depends on how long u have been dating really? mom says to wait at least 2 years! one of my sisters waited for about five and is now happily married and they are about to celebrate their 6th anniversary. my other sister date her husband for 7 years and they just got married in October.
if have been dating him for about to year then say yes! planning a wedding takes about a year! and you need to save up money as well!
if not, then follow your heart.

Anyone under 40 is too young to get married. You will probably hate each other, fight over money and the kids and then get divorced and be bitter. Save yourself this agony.

Don't worry about it until he actually asks you.
When he asks you, say yes(if that's how you feel) but tell him you'd like a long engagement and then explain why.
It's great that you're being responsible, but don't let that ruin the moment. Good luck ;)

If he asks say yes, then plan your perfect wedding. Think of it this way...two years gives you enough time to get exactly what you want.
