He knew some people thought he was nuts, but didn't really say anything about it. He used it as a teaching opportunity, when his family, thinking he was crazy, wanted to come and get him away from the crowd. He responded: "Who is my mother, my brother, etc... but he that does the will of him that sent me?" He didn't deal with the part about thinking he was crazy - he knew that would sort itself out with time.

Well, Jesus doesn't exist, but I find it very telling... telling of the person who says it, that is. They are so megalomaniacal, so hyped up on their own self importance and delusions of moral superiority that they feel they could persuade "God himself" to take pity on the poor, misguided, foolish nonbelievers.

Gosh... it must be exciting to be so important... even if it's just in their own head.
