Why do supposed 'straight' christians worry so much about what gay people are up to? If you are so worried that people are 'sinning' then aren't there about a million worse sins that people are commiting every day that you say nothing about?
Why don't you worry about the poor? Isn't a sin that society allows children to sleep in the streets? Why don't you consider war a sin? Doesn't your bible say 'thou shalt not kill'?
So, really, explain to me why so much time and effort is spent by self-righteous christians (yes, self-righteous, or did you forget that whole 'he without sin casting stones' idea?) condemning gay people?
Why does that particular law of Leviticus strike you as important? Why aren't you condemning people who lie with a woman while she is 'unclean'? Why aren't you stoning to death children who talk back to their parents, just like your scripture tells you?
How exactly is an act between consenting adults your problem? And why do you care about it so much?

We aren't. We are concerned with the messages being sent by homosexuals to our society which are false and damaging. We are concerned with making sure the truth gets told to our young people and to those who are seeking a way out but feel there's no hope because they've been told they can't change. We do stand against all sins. You seem very confused about the difference between the old covenant and the new and how the new was fulfilled in Christ and which laws are still in effect for us today. Most Christians share that confusion with you unfortunately. How do you know what the priorities of Christians are? Homosexuality is one of many major problems concerning our society in so many ways from religious freedoms, hiring practices in the work-place, laws that affect family life, children caught up in these problems that turn to drugs and suicide, taxes paid out for social sins (including this one), pornography addictions, the fact that most pedophiles are homosexual (don't have the numbers on it), and the fact that we cannot survive even if it wasn't a spiritual issue. It has been the downfall of other societies. I'll guess that most homosexuals are pro-abortion and pro-euthanasia and if I'm wrong about that I will be glad to know it. It has everything to do with whether or not we survive as a society with morals or one who has turned our backs on God and headed for judgment. IT was prophesied that it was a sign of our generation that would see the second coming of Christ. It is our obligation to cry out against all sins and to do good whenever we can. Picture this: If you had a disease and the doc had medicine that was proven over and over again for like hundreds of years to be the cure and you knew it would be quite difficult to swallow and would feel and taste horrible for a little while, would you refuse to take it knowing what the end results would bring? Would you hate the doc or the medicine and blame them for your problems or say "I'm not sick" when you knew you were? That's the parallel of a Christian or preacher, the Word is medicinal cure, and your sin-sick soul needs it. We are blood-guilty if we don't tell you about it and offer it to you. God bless you.

Personally I think Christians are more obsessed with avoiding the wrath of God, and preserving their absolute right to a heterosexual environment.

Anyway, a real Christian doesn't take a superior stand to any of God's other children, although they might not agree with their ACTIONS and beliefs; they are bound by Christ's instruction and God's mandate to LOVE their neighbor and therefore hate the actions (sins committed) of others.

Although, this is truly easier said than done. (sigh)

Why is it that a Christian is being not only stupid, but self-righteous, if they speak up and stand up for what they believe?

If that's the criteria for being stupid and or self-righteous, then certainly Christians don't have exclusivity on stupid and self-righteous behavior.

It's just easier to point at a loving person and call him bad then to get up and do something bout other things. Problem is that all the Christian's so obsessed with homosexuality that I know are gay. You can tell by the way they act. I think they are scared that their church or family will find out that they too are gay. Not that there is anything wrong with being gay. They have just been taught that there is something wrong. Fact is we are all normal if not more so

You're very right. I'm Christian and it disgusts me how bad a lot of Christians make all of us look bad. The last time I checked, Jesus taught us to love one another, not hate, gossip, or ridicule one another. If you ask me they have way too much time on their hands. They are soooo worried about homosexuals that they forget about poor families, or sick children. They are the same ones who like to tell everyone that they are going to hell. I think they better start looking into their own sins rather than the sins of others!

We don't single out homosexuality, in fact divorce is a bigger issue. It is the divorce rate and broken homes that have really made the issue of gender disorientation so bad. Children growing up with out proper role models are easy to be confused. As this whole issue leads to the destruction of the family and the family is the building block of society we are rightly concerned. We seek what would lead to a strong society that is able to stand against the undermine issues of the day. Historically when a society falls into homosexually and feminism they soon are unable to stand against their enemies and a new civilization begins. We would like to save ours.

i've got self assurance that many Christians are captivated with homosexuality, as a results of fact it comprises emotions that maximum have had at some point of their progression and it easily marks people who're "distinctive". they do no longer cry approximately the different issues as a results of fact they have a distorted view of deviance, Crime in society, environmental destruction, corruption, and poverty lack the comparable experience of intimacy and innate and unchangeable nature. they look extra sturdy to locate and whilst pointed out extra uncomplicated to isolate and punish. Christians can dismiss their duty for the evil in the worldwide and harp relating to the immorality of sexual orientation easily stereotyped and condemned.

The ones obsessed with it are the same ones that tend to cover up their priests messing with altar boys. They have to have something to distract everybody else from looking to deeply into their church practices.
Of course that does not include all Christians - for the most part it's the few that's giving the many a bad name.

I never think about them, unless someone like you brings them up. They know where they are going. What is that to me? Live and let live. Just keep it out of my face. Here's a question for you. Why are homosexuals so obsessed with being accepted. Why should they have preferential treatment? What they are does not make them special. They are an abomination, like God said. You got a problem with that? Tough s**t. Take it up with God. I only ask this of you because you seem to know so much about homosexuality.

part of it probably because as christians we are commanded to not have sex with anyone unless you're married to another christian. this could cause people to be obsessed with any kind of sexual behaviour. you're right though, there are a lot of other kinds of sins, how about rich pastors that fleece their flock and live like kings all in the name of "properity".
