In Windows Movie Maker, how do I get into the timeline close enough to see individual frames?

I haven't been able to get much closer than 7 frames per tick mark.

You can press ALT + left arrow or ALT + right arrow for stepping forwards and backwards a frame but their definition of the frame is more like that 7 frame amount.

I would recommend you use a better editting program for your frame by frame needs. Adobe perhaps?
