What should I get my girlfriend for christmas?

I'd love to go out and get her something great but I'm very short on funds at the moment. Do any of you have cheaper or free alternative gifts? You know, something like a special mix cd or things like that? I want something that would be very personal, something handmade maybe.
She's really into technology but that's not much of a help since techie things can be rather expensive.

She loves cute things [as most girls do]....
She likes when I'm romantic [romantic gifts?].
She enjoys candy.

Any help?

EDIT: She doesn't want me to get her anything expensive, which is a relief. But she'd still like something, no matter what she says.

Make her a mix cd with a case you modified and made special. Love letter and christmas card in the booklet or inlay. You could also leave a personal audio or video clip to her on a usb drive for her to go with it. ^_^
