I want to get a chinese lettering tattoo, I want the meaning of it to be Princess...does anyone know where I can find a picture of this symbol? I've tried looking but got pretty confused.

Thank you so much you guys who found me pictures of it, I appreciate it so much! For the last 2 comments, I would totally understand what you guys were saying, if it wasn't a tribute to my dead stepfather. He called me his princess for years, and I want something to remember him by. =(

I'm assuming you aren't Chinese, since you needed help with this...

And I understand you want something to remember your grandfather by. That's very sweet.

However, Chinese symbols make awful tattoos. And it's going to look ridiculous if you aren't Chinese.

Why don't you get a flower, or a heart, or something that reminds you of HIM, instead of "Princess," which could sound to some people as a tribute to yourself, not your grandfather.

You can get his birthdate and the day he died incorporated in there somehow, and it will end up being a LOT more meaningful than some Chinese symbol that millions of other girls have tattooed on their bikini line.

I have to agree with NS. I have several very large tattoos, so it's not that I'm anti-ink, rather I'm against flippant tattoos that hold no meaningful association. Now if you really were a Chinese princess (in which case you wouldn't be allowed to get inked), that would be a different story. Wait until you have something important in your life to indelibly etch into your skin. If you don't, you'll just get it covered up with something bigger later.

I don't want to sound like a downer, but your tattoo idea is something I can 100% guarantee you will regret when you are older. Can you imagine yourself as a 40 yr old mother with a tattoo in chinese letters that says "princess"? i highly doubt it. I used to like shirts that said "Princess" and "Angel" but i outgrew them when I turned 15. Please reconsider and wait till you are older. This idea of yours tells me that you are not ready for a tattoo because it's totally cliche, not original AT ALL, and is pretty much meaningless. If you tattooed yourself with the name of a friend who died, your child, etc., that I would understand, but this idea of yours is asinine. Be warned--laser tattoo removal leaves scars and is VERY expensive...
