Have you had any major life changes in the past few months? A death of a loved one, changing of a job, losing a job, birth of a child, fight with a loved one, etc. Or have you had several minor little things going wrong in your life. If you have, you could be experiencing depression. Do you find its hard to make yourself do the things you usually do? Do you want to sleep alot or do you not sleep like you used to. Are there things that you do that really give you enjoyment and now you don't really want to do them or if you do, they don't give you the pleasure that they used to. If you have any of these feelings, you need to go and see a doctor. He may be able to give you some medication that will help with your feelings and make you feel better. I have depression and am currently taking medication for it. I feel a whole lot better for it.

No it is not. You need some help with your depression. Don't be afraid.
I get a lot of emails from people just like you suffering as you are and even worse asking about depression. You can check out my website if you want: http://www.attackanxiety.com
Depression is a mood disorder that causes you to feel sad or hopeless for an extended period of time. More than just a bout of "the blues" or temporary feelings of grief or low energy, depression can have a significant impact on your enjoyment of life, your work, your health, and the people you care about.
Depression affects people differently. Some feel down for extended periods of time; for others the feelings of depression come and go. If you have short episodes of mild depression, you may be able to continue to work and take care of daily activities. However, if you do not seek some form of treatment for your depression, you are at risk for getting more depressed or becoming physically ill. In severe cases, depression can cause people to become incapable of communicating, unable to do routine activities, or suicidal. In these cases, it is essential to seek medical attention.
People with depression may be reluctant to seek help because they feel that it is a sign of personal weakness or a character flaw or that they should be able to "pull out of it" on their own. We now know that depression, like other medical conditions, has a chemical and biological basis. Treatment for depression is safe and usually effective even for severely depressed people

Its probably just hormonal... those crazy little chemicals will do all sorts to your emotional state. Also, some people get seasonal depression, when its dark and dreary out it can actually cause bouts of depressiong... sit next to a bright lamp for a while, seriously!!!
But if theres something you really are crying about, theres nothing wrong with getting it out.

You have an underlying depression and you may be in need of professional counseling to get to the root cause of this. This is definitely not a normal thing.
