I served in the marine corps for a period of time and during my recruit training on Parris Island I purchased some bonds. I have no paper work on the bonds and was curios if anyone knew how I could find those bonds I've contacted the Marine recruiter in town and the local meps neither one had any info. If anyone knows how I can go about obtaining those bonds please help, thanks and semper fi

If you are talking about U.S. Savings Bonds, contact the Records Center in St. Louis for your service records which should have reference to your purchase. If not, contact the Naval Regional Finance Office in Cleveland Ohio and they should have a record. You can also check with a bank who might be able to help you. The Treasury would have a record, however the banks might be able to help you get started.

The savings bonds would have been sent to your home of record.

Good question. If you find yours, see if mine are there too.
