I'm a med-student and I'm not ugly but I found out two days that my boyfriend of a year cheated on me with his stepsister.... He wants to get back together but the reason he gave me for cheating was that he could take the pressure from my family (who are a it racist-im italian and mexican and hes white german and dutch descent) I thought that this was a little bit unfair but forsome reason I feel guilty. I thought I loved him but know I don't know what to do. I've been working long hours at the hospital so I can get too tired to think about it at night when i go to bed... Am I just being dumb, should I take him back? There are plenty of guys who have expressed interest in the past two days but Im finding it hard to move on accckkkk!!! What do you do in this situation?

Honey, if you looked like Prince Charles in drag, you could still do better than this guy. He's someone who is having INCESTUOUS sex. He can't even find someone outside the family to cheat on you? He's either lazy, or really not a very good catch. Or both. Either way, as Dan Savage says "Dump the M-F-er"
You're a med student - you're too smart for this. I think you are just tired from all the work, and not thinking clearly. Get rid of him, get some sleep, and maybe one day when you are a doctor, this loser will come in to be treated for an STD, and you'll thank me then ;)

Let him go. He says he couldnt take the pressure from your family but he can take the heat from his own from messing with his step sis?!?!?!
What a crock. They deserve each other and he, by NO means deserves a woman like you who is even thinking about taking him back.
Cut your losses and move on. It will be hard but you will find someone else thats really worth your while. Meanwhile, put yourself on the market and get out when you can with your girlfriends who are single.
Believe it or not, there are still decent guys who look beyond looks and see the woman and not just another conquest.
I personally think that way and I am not the most handsome man on the planet and have been hit on by many attractive women who see past my looks and see whats inside.
It also takes maturity. I hadnt started to be hit on until my early thirties. It seems thats when most people start looking beyond the six pack abs and 36D's and see what they are actually dealing with.
Hang in there and keep looking. You will persevere and come out on top.
By the way, if you stay with him just think what the family reunions are going to be like. You will be able to cut the tension with a knife!!!!!

If he can cheat on you once, he can definately cheat on you again. Do you think that you would be able to trust him ever again if you did take him back? If not, then you know your answer. You said that there are plenty of people that are interested in you. That's a great thing. I would probably dump my b/f, get myself a good chick flick, put on my most comfy pair of pj's and have a girls night in. Take good care of yourself and really get engrossed in the things that you enjoy. When it's time for you to move on to the next guy, you will know. Good luck and keep strong. You have such a wonderful life ahead of you. You are smart, so use your head with the rest of your life, not just school! =)

Well excuses, excuses.
Why would someone who loves you that much cheat on you to take stress off of your shoulders? That doesn't even sound right!!
If he wanted to help you in ANY way then cheating on you with his stepsister wasn't at all the way to do it.
No you should not take him back, he knew what he was doing and he knew that it was wrong.
There are a lot of things going on and taking him back will not at all help the situation. What will happen is that he will cheat on you again, just because he will be thinking that you will take him back again. DON'T DO IT.
Find someone who will actually love you for you.

Once a cheater always a cheater.. There is never a good excuse for cheating.. No matter what... Leave him alone and find you someone that will be faithful to you.. He had sex with his stepsister..That is gross too... not that they are blood related but that is too close for comfort.. Get on with your life, hun.. You can do so much better.

First of all, it's only been two days. Take time, focus on school. Second, he cheated on you with his STEPSISTER!! Ewww!!!
Yeah...focus on school. I don't want you giving me the wrong meds because you missed that part of your class daydreaming about this boy ;o) You'll find plenty of men who won't use your family as an excuse to treat you wrong.

Do not take him back after what he had did to you. He caused you pain that would be hard to heal. You need to move on especially if there are other guys in interest of you. You need a guy who will be loyal to you which is obviously not your boyfriend.
Get rid of that sorry guy who cheated on you!!! Cheating is in no way acceptable in a relationship.

First of all being "ugly" is not a reason for someone to cheat.
Your boyfriend sounds like he's really trying to get a reason why he cheated and the thing is....there is never a reason to cheat.
I think for right now you should concentrate on your studies and forget this loser.

If he cheated once chances are he will cheat again. Maybe seeing other guys would help you move on. Try it and see if it makes it easier to lose the cheater.
