Ginger doesn’t need frequent baths. In fact, frequent baths can dry the natural oils in canine skin and lead to constant scratching, which in turn can lead to bacterial infections and oozing hot spots.

For dogs that get bathed more than once a month, aloe-based shampoos and coat conditioners and foods and supplements with Omega fatty acids help maintain coat oils and skin health.

Bathe smaller dogs such as poodles and schnauzers every two or three weeks, except in the winter when once a month will probably do. Larger pets need bathing several times a year. Of course, always wash a pet when it is dirty or smells, regardless of when it was last bathed.

Well if you're like me and don't show your dog off alot in public, washing should only be necessary if the dog gets into mud (especialy if it's a house dog) or durring the warms months when fleas because a big problem. Also, bathing every once in a while even even if the coat isn't dirty and preventt dry, itchy skin for your doggie.

As often as he'll LET you! lol No, just kidding. This often depends on the type of dog and the climate where you live, etc. Call a local vet or go to a dog care website and give them the specific info. Washing any animal too often can do more harm than good. (Personally if they could JUST get rid of the doggy-breath thing lol who CARES about the rest of him? lol)

It depends on how dirty he gets :)

If he lives inside with you, I'd wash him once a month or so. You don't want to wash that often; their skin will dry out. Use a good quality shampoo meant for dogs

If he's primarily an outside dog, I'd wash him once every two to three months or so, just to keep him clean and healthy.

For most breeds, a bath every few months should suffice, unless the animal tends to dirty itself more often. CAUTION: Bathing the dog too frequently may lead to dry skin and / or skin irritation; if you must wash the dog often, or own a breed predisposed to dry skin, use a canine-formulated conditioning shampoo.

it depends on how old the dog is if it is a puppy (1-8 months) i would say once every two months if it is an adult then twice a year give baths to a dog very offten causes dry skin if you must constantly wash ur dog then try some sanitary puppy wipes we used those on my pup when he was 6 weeks old after he got nutered he rolled around in the mud and we were not allowed to give him a bath try the sanitary wipes first they work better for very dirty dogs

Every two weeks is the maximum I would suggest. I personally bathe my dogs once every couple of months in the warmer weather, and not at all in the cooler weather. Unless they get really dirty for some reason, that is all they need. Most doggy smell comes from the ears and teeth, which I clean weekly (daily for teeth).

Depending on how long the dogs fur is, and if he is an out door dog, or a smelly dog :). I would suggest at least once a month, and be sure to use a shampoo designed for animals (dogs) and a cream rinse. The cream rinse is good for their skin, and makes them smell great for quite a good while. Make sure to rinse them throughly tho.

I wash my dogs when the seasons change-summer, spring, fall and winter. More often if they get stinky or really dirty of course. If you bathe them too often it strips the natural oils from their coat and causes all sorts of itching. Once every three months unless my nose tells me otherwise :)

Only wash your dog if she gets in a sticky mess or get skunked. I haven't washed my pet since he was bought 10 yrs ago. He goes swimming in the lake and occasionally get washed with tomato juice when a skunk sprays him.
