If your puppy is living indoors then shedding continually is normal. The dog is in a warm environment and is losing its dead fur. It has happened to my lab for the past 10 yrs. Vet says he's fine. The shedding is not as bad in the winter.

There might be something wrong if he's not growing the hair back. Otherwise, you could take him to a groomer; they probably have all kinds of brushes, blowers, and vacuums that will extract the residual hair that has been bothering you all year.
You could try a curry-comb or Shed-n-Blade; look in your pet store or feed store. You'll probably get out a few grocery bags worth of hair in a good combing session.
If your dog is brave, you could try using a Shop-Vac. A normal vacuum won't work, since the hair will clog the filter and destroy all the suction. Try to introduce the dog to the sight and sound of the vacuum for about a week, first: put some treats next to the vacuum when it's turned off turn the vacuum on in another part of the house, then go get him a treat; give him treats and pettings by the vacuum when it's turned on; let him carefully investigate the vacuum nozzle. Move the vacuum up and down his fur; if he's not terrified of it, he'll find it quite pleasant.

I just bought that Furminator shedding comb! I've used it three times and already see an improvement in my dogs shedding. Just blame it alll on global warming.

ou do not say what breed the dog is.
Some breed shed year round all the time and it is normal for them. Other tend to blow coat twice per year and shed little inbetween times.
Some shedding is normal in dogs and depends on the breed how much is normal.

look at the food you feed her , switching to a lamb and rice formula food will help b/c of the omega fatty 3 acids in it to help condition the coat and skin , also there is a product called lanatone that is an oil that can be applied to the food that is a daily vitamin for the skin and coat
