You know, it's people like you who are destorying our country.
You vote people for the wrong reasons.
Don't get me wrong, I'm definitely a feminist. One word against women and I'm screaming at them, my idol is Lucretia Mott.
But what if Abraham Lincoln and someone like Bonnie Parker were running? You sound like you would vote for Bonnie just because she was a woman.
Women don't run for president because, as you know, women used to be looked down upon, so no women were running. Even though that was a while ago, women are still afraid to run for fear of losing. Because all our presidents were male, female confidence about winning is destroyed.
But with all this demand for a new woman for president, confidence is rising again. I hope an intelligent, peaceful female candidate wins in 2008!

I think that it will happen very shortly. Rice or Clinton will run I am sure. However I feel like it is something that we are all going to have to learn from. I have just recently gone from male bosses to female bosses and found that the new bosses are more likely to make choices based on emotion as apose to facts. I would like to see a woman in power , but I would also like to see a woman who make her choices based on facts. I also feel that sexism and rasism have almost gone full circle and now it has reversed as aposed to been ridded. I feel like now its ok for a person who is of culture to say something about how rasist the world is at the same time you hear things like honky and whitey and cracker and so on . Now that I have a woman boss and her new boss and her new boss are all women I have to wonder if I have a claim to the same rite of discrimination , when it comes to promotions and sexism and harassment. Somehow I think not.

They don't like to waste their time. They could easily get their husbands to run and influence they're decisons. Wait till 2008. Is the country ready, or democratic people, ready for the candidates to be a women or a minority? If the demcrats win, it'll be a break through in our country. Either a female, Hillary Clinton, or a minority, Barack Obama.

Unless you get the endorsement from the two national parties, then its a lesson in futility...
Men that are from "fringe groups" know they havent got a chance, but run anyways to see how they can do.
Women dont want to be bothered, if they cant win...
Hillary may "think" she has a chance, but, the American Public still remembers what she "did" as the Presidents Wife. She wont win.
I wish you well..

Politics. Women aren't seen as strong enough to run a government in our country. When the right women comes along, the country will support her, but she has to show strong leadership abilities.
Hilliary Clinton is said to be running. Personally, I would rather someone who made it into politics on their own (instead of by her husband, Bill Clinton).

Some do, but in our society, we haven't accepted the idea of a woman president. We are a male dominated society. Very old-fashioned, but true. I personally think we NEED a woman president. Society is still of the mindset that men are smarter than women. Believe men...there are a WHOLE lot of smart women politicians out there that would make OUTSTANDING presidents.
I cannot WAIT to vote for a woman president.
