You're right, it is a pretty comical diagnosis - not very common at all, is it?

The remedy is, thankfully, pretty simple. People are sent home with pills (depending on the perscription, it might be taken twice or over a series of days). The medication destroys the tapeworm (and, as an added bonus, breaks them down for nutritional use in the body). She shouldn't even notice them being destroyed - they won't be eliminated.

Tell your friend I said good luck! Don't take the mickey out of her too much just yet - she'll laugh about it later!

She needs to see a doctor! IT can actually be a very serious situation. The doc will give her medication which will kill the tapeworm.

seh needs to go to a doctor. They will give her some medicine that is haremless to her but will poison the tapeworm. Then she will poop it out. But the only way to get it removed is to go see a doctor.
